Lead Frontend Developer – e-Commerce £65k - £75K + Benefits

Centena is currently partnering a leading e-Commerce offering that is now looking for a Lead Frontend Developer. You will be joining a company that embodies a start-up culture and mentality and as the Lead Frontend / UI Developer you will contribute to the development of multichannel shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

Own and execute UI development for responsive site with a strong appreciation of

established UX practices.

Coordinate technical delivery and contribute to defining the technical strategy.Collaborate with internal and external project stakeholders for estimations, review and delivery.Lead projects and architect using modern front-end stacks.Build and maintain best practices and guidelines that can be followed by UI developers, agencies and contractors.


Proficient with HTML/XHTML/HTML5, CSS3 and Sass.

Significant experience in developing mobile-first Responsive Design.Solid grasp of JavaScriptIn-depth understanding, ability to interpret and code in OO JavaScript.Strong understanding of Twig templating engine or equivalent.Considerable experience in developing applications that can process high volumes of information without performance degradation whilst encrypting and securing data.
